Refined Implementation has helped change my approach for coaching teachers. I have learned the art of building relationships while having courageous conversations/saying the hard thing. The relationships do not mean anything without telling the truth. I have learned how to provide the "blanket" and then turn on the "air condition" Feedback can be warm and cool, however, specificity and intention are the guidepost for that feedback. The Qualities Rubric and in-person sessions with Refined Implementation have helped me create authentic spaces for coaching with my teachers. For these things, I am most grateful.

Participating in the Coaching Professional Development cohort led by Refined Implementation and Chris Moses has been a transformative experience. The strategic structure and thoughtful support provided through this program have elevated my coaching practices and, more importantly, aligned our instructional efforts across the board.
One of the most impactful elements has been the implementation of the Instruction Refinement Tool and the Instructional Qualities Rubric. These tools have provided a clear, shared language and vision for high-quality instruction, ensuring alignment from our instructional priorities to our daily practices. By using these tools consistently, I’ve been able to establish coherence between our district or school vision and the focused walkthroughs and classroom observations conducted by me, as an instructional coach.
The tools have also served as a powerful foundation for strategic coaching, enabling more targeted support for teachers. Instead of broad or generic feedback, I am now able to facilitate effective coaching conversations grounded in observable, high-leverage instructional practices. This has led to noticeable growth in teacher development, as educators can see how their work connects directly to student outcomes and institutional goals.
Refined Implementation's cohort model fosters a collaborative and reflective environment. Through the cohort, I’ve been able to share strategies, analyze data, and refine my approaches in real time, all while staying anchored to a consistent framework. The result has been not only improved instructional practice but also a stronger coaching culture throughout our building.
